In 1966 Ian Nairn described London as not a city but a ‘thousand villages’. Through my Tumblr photography blog I search London for signs of life and contrast Nairn’s account with the present. Underground stations breathe tourists and workers by day but too often by night leave a vacuum of empty streets space behind.
